Twilight Fever

Because I care about your relationship, I’ve come up with a list of reasons why Edward is bad for your relationship. It’s too late for me, but I’m trying to save your relationship!

Please check out my Twilight guide and let me know what it is you love (or hate) about the story and Edward. If you like it, Stumble it or Digg it. Your views are much appreciated :)

Also, don’t forget about the social networking contest at Must Love Geek.

If you get a chance, please leave a contribution to my Which Actor Would Play You in A Movie guide.

Stay tuned for my BlogSecret post later today!

Best On-screen Kiss

Like many bloggers I’m slowly developing an unhealthy obsession with Edward from Twilight. I’m at the part in the book where he and Bella first kiss. Sweet mother of hotness. Moving right along…

I was inspired yesterday by another blogger to find out what people rank as the best on-screen kiss. Naturally I’ve turned this into a community guide.

I beg of you to leave your answer on the community guide at Guidespot. Rather than just telling me what movie or TV couple, you can share a picture or even a video from YouTube! Guidespot is an interactive site and we welcome, appreciate and encourage the participation of readers.

Check out my picks here.

Driving Traffic To Your Blog

I’ve filled another guide with link love for my fellow bloggers!

Check it out and be sure to comment if you have any other suggestions to add!

Once again, thanks so much to everyone who visits Guidespot. Whether you’re checking out my guides or another writer’s, I really appreciate it :)

Stay tuned for a “real” post later.

Moving Tips & A Giveaway!!!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

With moving right around the corner, I thought it appropriate to share some of my my mom’s infinite wisdom. I asked her to think back to my last (sixteen!) moves and come up with a list of do’s and don’t’s. Together we have created the perfect guide to ensure a successful move.

Once again I’m asking you loyal readers to switch over to Guidespot to check out our tips and laugh a little. What’s in it for you? Well I’m glad you asked. I’m already looking forward to relaxing with a large glass of wine after this move. This got me thinking about the wine tasting I had earlier this summer. I then realized I ordered a gift to giveaway to my readers. I keep putting it off, but not anymore!

Because wine is a vital part of moving, I will give away this ceramic wine trivet:

All you have to do is head over to my guide and leave a comment sharing a moving tip, a funny moving experience or what you most/least look forward to about moving. Only those who comment there will be entered to win. If you don’t have anything to add to my guide, browse around the site and comment or contribute to someone else’s guide. Just be sure to give me the link to your comment!

Thank you in advance for reading and good luck to my wino friends who want this trivet! The contest winner will be announced on Tuesday, October 28th.

Edit: My Moving Tips Guide is NOT a Community Guide, meaning you will not see an “add to guide” button. If the guide is surrounded by red, it is a normal guide in which you can only comment. Those surrounded by green are community guides in which you can comment or contribute. Sorry for the confusion!

If only I lived in a can of frosting…

I failed at my attempt to work on a Friday night. I needed to begin packing since I’m moving in exactly one week. I managed to get a couple more boxes filled. I’m the type of person who hates seeing her home messy. Having an unorganized room freaks me the eff out. Typically I wait until the last minute to pack, but time is of the essence. What does that even mean?

I accomplished zero homework.

I have a lot of great ideas for writing, but I didn’t choose any of the topics. Because I was feeling particularly uninspired, I didn’t want to waste an article on a topic that could have been much greater. So we’ll see what happens next week.

What did I do? Well, I painted of course. I was in a completely random mood so you get a completely random picture.

I think that maybe a can of frosting would have helped inspired me. That or put me into a sugar-induced coma where I’d frolic among the words of the article I did not write.

What inspires you?

How to use Guidespot

I’ve seen many of you popping over to Guidespot to comment on my guides. I really appreciate all of your support!!

I wanted to take a few minutes to explain how Guidespot works. While comments are great, you can actually contribute to the community guides and be a part of the action! Since the site can be a bit intimidating to new comers (I was very overwhelmed) I thought I’d break it down here for those who want to be more active within the Guidespot community.

When you go to Guidespot you’ll be looking at their home page. There you will find the most recent guides and community guides. Community guides are the ones where you can contribute without being the author. When you open up a community guide, you will see this menu along the top of it.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

From here you’ll want to click on + Add to this Guide. Clicking on that will change the page so you can edit it. You won’t be able to change what’s already there, but instead of just replying with a comment, you can insert a photo, link, address, etc. with your reply. It will be in the guide itself and not just under the comments page! You, your guides and your blog get more exposure as people come across your contribution and click on your profile to find out more!

When in Edit Mode, the following menu will be along the right column. This is how you add your image, text or website link.

Once you’ve added your reply, you can either click preview or close the page. Your contribution will now be among the rest! Those of you who have joined the spot, I look forward to seeing your contributions around the site, as well as your guides if you choose to create any. If you haven’t signed up yet, what are you waiting for?

I want to know…

…what you think the worst trends are. They can be fashion trends or gadgets from 2008 or 1980! I don’t care.

But don’t tell me here. No, no. Go to Guidespot and register. It’s free and will only take two minutes! Once registered, check out my community guide about the worst trends ever. Post a picture, leave a comment, whatever! Get active in the Guidespot community.

Why should you do this? Because as twenty-something bloggers we are social media addicts. This is just another up and coming site that you’ll want to be a part of. Some of us (Chelsea and Susie) are already there!

My worst trend pick? Crocs.

So click here and let me know what trends you hate!

It’s fun, I promise :)
