We used to have to endure endless scratching if the dogs wore their collars but now it’s an instant indication that they’re either going for a walk, a drive or to day care. Now we can’t handle the excitement.

I guess that’s why cats are smarter, right?

Ha about all their toys end up under the fridge – ain’t it the truth?!

I need to buy a collar for my Bay. She hasn’t worn one in ages (she’s indoor-only) but I get nervous, what if she gets out by accident one day…

I volunteer at a cat shelter, and we use collars also solely for identification, especially on all our black cats. We use them on kitten litters that all look the same, too. Some have bells, some don’t, but I’ve never seen any of them care too much.

I love at the end how he comes up to you as if to say, “alright, this is ridiculous. Help me, please.”

My cat doesn't have a collar, but sometimes I put my parent's cat's collar on my cat. He gets grumpy that's it's one him, but also confused when he hears the bell cuz he expects to see his friend around the corner .-= phampants´s last blog ..Polish Nigerian House for Rent =-.

Isn’t the bell so that humans know when they’re coming? With their tiny little paws they can sneak up on you.

My girls go crazy with collars… I got them matching ones, since well, the whole black cat v. white cat helps distinguish them (though people still can’t get their names — Tuija & Kaija)… but yeah.
They go ape sh*t with those collars because of the damned bells.
