Many bloggers are talking about the 20-Something Blogger Meet-up that happened last weekend. I don’t like repeating the same details as someone else, but I’m sure our blogging paths will cross at some point this week. I wanted to start off by thanking some of the people, companies and organizations involved.
I was very excited to have Chicago-based Where I’ve Been, crowdSPRING and Social Media Club Chicago involved. I approached each company a bit late, but they were awesome enough to donate some swag for our blogger bags.
Chicago Tweetups left the Twittersphere for a weekend and hung out with some of the crazy bloggers. If you’re in Chicago and want to attend more tweetups/networking events, he’s the guy to follow.
By now everyone knows that I have a bit of a soft spot for Guidespot (check out their new look!) Alex and her team were super nice and donated some really awesome water bottles for our blogger swag. I’ve seen a few of you popping up on Guidespot lately and I’m really excited you’re checking out the site. As bloggers with the most to say, why not say it on Guidespot?
The guys at Farmstead Wines were incredibly cool, and not just because they entertained a room full of hungover bloggers. They took the time to explain what they do and answer all of our questions about tasting, pairing and buying wine. Anthony spent the afternoon and evening with us and it was great to have him involved!
You might know her as the Dutchess of Kickball, but I like to refer to her as Awesome. Grunge Geek Design made our blogger swag bags as well as the kick ass “I <3 Blogging” tattoos, which can be seen on Derek’s neck.
I’ve been working with Vitaminwater10 for a little while now. They helped out at The Printed Blog’s first tweetup and I’m excited that they’re getting involved with the 20SB community. They donated mini bottles of vitaminwater10 for our blogger swag bags. Trust me when I say these came in handy over the weekend. They’re great for hangovers as well as refueling after swearing at your Wii Active trainer. 20SBers, stay tuned for more fun opportunities from the vitaminwater team.
I think Purevia made an awesome impression on the 20SBs. They generously donated travel coffee mugs that were quite possibly my favorite item in the blogger swag bags. Purevia also made sure to send along some of their all natural, zero calorie sweetener. I know that I’ll be getting a lot of use out of my mug – especially as a freelance writer.
I was very excited when I found out that Rhodia would be donating an item for the bags. I first heard about them through The Printed Blog team. I’m a huge geek and it’s not unusual for me to fall in love with a notebook. Rhodia sent over some awesome bright orange notepads for our bloggers and I’ve already filled up half of mine with blogging ideas! Check them out on Facebook!
Chicago Bloggers, I wanted to thank you for coming out and showing our out-of-town bloggers an awesome time! We have a pretty loyal group of bloggers in our city and I’m always proud to show you off to other bloggers. In particular I’d like to thank Derek because without him, this meetup would have never happened. He’s put an incredible amount of effort into the 20SB network and I’m excited to see it grow.

Omg that swag is awesome… I want one!
Ummm… my favorite blog experience happened when I was writing about how I enjoy being single. A friend asked if she could share the post with another friend, who was having a hard time. After the friend read the blog, she said that the post really helped her feel better.
I know that my blog is for me and most of the time I’m rambling nonsense but knowing that something I wrote helped someone, totally made it all worthwhile.

I’d love a 20sb swag bag!! My favorite moment in blogging was when I got a self hosted domain. It was a gift from one of the most amazing 20sb I’ve ever come in contact with. I have met so many people through blogging and it has really been amazing to come in contact with these people.

Nice post Jenn, glad to hear that the meet-up was a success… and of course, the love for Guidespot is ever lasting. Thanks to you, and the other wonderfulness that is the 20sbers.
Can I enter? me me me? Well, if I win you can keep the Guidespot H20 bottle… obviously, I gots some…
My best Blog moment is what I call, “When popular Bloggers Attack” and I mean this with all humor and graciousness… This actually happened to Guidespot… The well-known noordinaryrollercoaster himself wrote this entertaining guide: http://www.guidespot.com/guides/why_guidespot_should_be Needless to say, it was a fun introduction not really for me, but the guidespot team… This guide was a fun way at getting mad at us, and the funny thing was, it pulled in great traffic… Even better thing? The CEO, Perry Evans, is Canadian!

I WANT SWAG!
My best blogger experience has been the community of bloggers in DC. I know that any time we have a HH or meet-up it will be an amazing time.

I like swag
) And contests! And WATER BOTTLES especially! Eddie will say I don’t need another one. He lies.
My very mostest bestest blogging experience so far was when I met my first IRL blogger friend and felt like I’d known her forever. It makes me feel like I’m not talking into the void when I write. I’ve had too many long-distance romantic relationships fail and too many friends move away and lose touch, I didn’t really think that sending posts out into the interwebs could actually bring new friends with whom distance didn’t matter.

Thanks for offering up the swag!
My favorite blogging experience was when someone recognized me in an antiques store. My blog is about antiques & the vintage junk I find at yard sales. I started chatting with this woman who was also shopping, and she said “are you colleen? I read your blog all the time”. I nearly crapped my pants!
