On Tuesday night The Printed Blog hosted its very first tweet-up at the T-Shirt Deli in Bucktown. It was my first time organizing a tweet-up/meet-up (let’s face it, a tweet-up is the new meet-up) for a company instead of just the Chicago bloggers. Everything was off to a great start until we passed through the seventh circle of hell, a.k.a. North & Clybourn. The TPB team was packed into a car full of Red Bull, peanut M&Ms and vitaminwater10. Would we really be late to our own event? The answer is no. We made it. Barely.

The T-Shirt Deli is a very cute little shop that custom makes T-shirts, tote bags, dog shirts, baby clothes, even panties and manties (for the dudes.) It’s set up like a deli complete with a counter like you’d see in a meat deli, but instead of meat, there’s rolled-up T-shirts. They package up your purchase just like they would a ham and turkey sandwich! It even comes with a bag of chips.

Vitaminwater10 sponosred the event so we had a beautiful window display of colorful bottles of tasty water. I’ve been a big fan of the orange flavor, but when I tried vitaminwater’s lemonade and XXX (triple antioxidants) I was surprised! It was really good! Guess what’s going to be filling up my fridge? I’m totally hooked on the XXX (acai, blueberry & pomegranate).

A couple of my favorite Chicago bloggers attended the event, thanks again! Rachel kept everyone entertained, as usual
I had the chance to meet a lot of the people I’ve been following on Twitter as well as those who have been published in The Printed Blog. It’s so nice putting a face with the name!

I want to thank vitaminwater10 for sponsoring and sharing so many great flavors of water with us. I’m happy to announce that they will be present at the 20SB meet-up this June (have you signed up yet?!) There is some fun stuff in the works and we’ll share more details at the event. You can follow vitaminwater10 on their Facebook page. Thanks again to the T-Shirt Deli for letting us use their space and for being awesome! They’re new to Twitter and I suggest following them so you can stay informed about great deals.
Finally thanks to everyone who came out (off the top of my head: @mominreallife, @dshanahan, @phampants, @bokeen, @bcopple, @mawls, @gizmodesign, @EdwardDomain, @AmandaNyren, @todderfodder, @lynchk8, @aln2x @bricefaubel, @timjahn, @calebgardner, @xequals, @spirrison, @unklbuck, and @dblandin – there were more, but I can’t remember, sorry!) I had a blast meeting you and I look forward to future tweet-ups!
More photos can be found here. If you see yourself in one and you’re not tagged, feel free to tag away!
