California, what are you thinking?

by freeandflawed on November 8, 2008

After reading Renee’s and Rachel’s posts, I couldn’t resist snapping my own picture.

I don’t get political on here very often, but I knew I had to do something to support gay rights. I might not be gay or married, but I hope my support helps.

I welcome supporters of gay rights to snap your own photo showing your wedding ring on your middle finger. Spread the word that this fight isn’t over. “Whether you’re gay, straight, bi, white, blue or tan — show your support by letting freedom ring on your blog then go here to log it for everyone to see!”

I wholeheartedly agree! I don’t have any rings though so I might have to be a bit creative with mine.

I agree. Thanks for the support!

I think a lot of people all over the nation and all over the country just don’t understand how Proposition 8 passed. Well, it passed because of deceptive “facts” told on their television ads. They cast doubt in parents minds and made the proposition not about eliminating rights, but rather protecting parents rights. I think it would help if you all saw the same deceptive lies that we here in California saw on our television sets.

I love that I’m seeing this pic everywhere. If I could find my camera, I’d do it too, even though I try to stay away from politics when it comes to my blog or with anyone else for that matter.

I totally agree, and I love the idea behind these photos! While I don’t have a wedding ring, I’m going to bop on over there and join in!

I agree with you on this. I was really shocked that this passed. I hope it’s overturned quickly.

Yay! I love all the support I’m seeing… to me, it means that more and more people all the time are opening up in support of equal rights. Thanks so much! :)

Nice.
I think I must do.
Although the closest thing I have to an engagement ring is an old promise ring from an ex… perhaps a little tacky.
