Is it just me or do weekends go by way too fast? I go to sleep on Friday and when I wake up, it’s Monday. What’s up with that?
My doctor called me with results from some of my blood tests. I’m too afraid to call back. I’m worried she’ll tell me my cholesterol went up or a tiny baby alien is living inside of my liver.
The gramps is undergoing surgery right now. They’re going to try to repair an artery that goes to his stomach. Fingers crossed that it goes well!
I’m beginning to think that wearing shirts with two giraffes in love with a heart over their head is too immature for me to wear.
Some how UIC manages to make me loathe every class I’ve loved at other schools. Congratulations teachers, you’re officially on my shit list.

Why do stores think it’s okay to start putting out Christmas stuff right now? It’s only November 3rd. Give me a week or so to make peace with the fact that it might snow on Friday.

I cannot wait for the Gals’ Guide Apple Store Event this Thursday. It will be full of some of my favorite things: Apple products and fantastic bloggers!
Is it possible that the mattress store could have sent me the wrong bed? I’m convinced I wouldn’t have picked this out. I was sort of losing my mind that week though. Maybe I developed a liking for firmness while in a crazy state?

When I was 2, my parents bought me a double bed and gave my crib to my sister. For years, I had the most expensive mattress in the entire house, and I had that bed until I moved out and into my new digs. I bought a new bed frame and a new Queen size mattress. I thought it was perfect when I lay down on it in the store, but once it was in my house?? Too firm. Transfer to the old bed, and it’s now too soft from 24 years of sleep-love. I wasn’t sleeping.
The answer? I drove to BJ’s and spend about $80 on a 2″ thick foam mattress topper, that I sandwiched between the mattress and the mattress pad.
Perfection.

How excited I am to go check out a new gym in my neighborhood. Or more correctly, how excited I am to go check out a gym in my new neighborhood. I need to get back on the wagon and this is the first step. Too bad I have to wait until Wednesday to go!

Good luck to your grandpa!! And I hate when doctors call with results. My gyno always wants to call me even if the results are fine, and I tell him not too. I’d much rather stick to no news is good news!!
And you can get an egg crate thing for your bed if its too firm.

There’s a radio station here in St. Louis that has been playing NOTHING but Christmas music since October 1st. I think they are technically “off air,” as they direct their listeners who want more variety to a sister station, but dude. October 1st.
I do listen sometimes. It’s kind of cheery.
