That's really strange. I have NO idea why simply rolling over would wake you up if thunder and other loud things don't scare you awake. Hmm...

This is going to sound ridiculous, but is it a pillow issue? I was having major waking up in the middle of the night problems and then I got a new pillow because my physical therapist made me and poof! No more waking up! Apparently better pillow = less tossing and turning.

I don't know what it is either but I've been really tired this week. A couple nights ago I even went to bed at 8.50, and didn't feel particularly refreshed/rested the next day. Hmm...

Linked over from Mom2my6pack. Have you considered maybe it's a sleep disorder? Like narcolepsy or sleep apnea? You don't have to be an obese guy to get sleep apnea and it REALLY messes with you. \
Also, try to make sure you're not drinking too soon before bed. Even though alcohol makes you sleepy, once the buzz wears off, it actually makes you more restless.\
If your insurance will cover it, maybe you could look into getting a sleep study! \
Good luck!

i call myself a heavy sleeper, but sometimes, my door opening or the softest ding of receiving an instant message via AIM can wake me. however, my problem is that whenever i get up i think "great, now i have to pee." and i can't go back to sleep until i get up and go, even if i just fell asleep and went 1 hr ago. it's a curse.\
\
and i always wake up tired.\
\
too much sleep or too little. i guess i havent found that "perfect" amount yet.

I ask myself the same flipping question when I wake up tired as hell. Mine is definitely from lack of exercise.

Maybe it's what causes you to roll over that wakes you? Example, if your shoulder hurts from laying on it, it's the shoulder discomfort that wakes you, not the rolling over? I'm not sure I have a great answer for this one. Louise Hay says regarding insomnia= fear, not trusting the process of life. She has a section in the book I sent you surrounding sleep. Maybe look there?

Welcome to Sleep Hell. I've been here for weeks. I wake up at least 3 times a night, and then I'm wide awake at 6AM. It's so wrong.
