Aw, I loved your post. So well done. I’m glad you had the chance to say what you needed to. You should be proud that you were open and vulnerable and you should be proud that you made the decision not to settle. I know you miss the beach, but there’s an even better one out there.

loved the post jen… i know exactly how you feel.

last summer i got out of my relationship with my bf (whom i lived with), after he moved up north and decided to not come back. he gave me an ultamadum…and he thought i’d just throw away my future plans and be a quite little housewife… hundreds and hundreds of miles away from my family, friends (and civilization).
\
he didn’t think i’d take the bait.
\
well… after many tears and angst – and moments of ‘regret’ – i left him.
\
my heart shattered, and i didn’t think i’d be able to pick up my pieces… but slowly i have…
\
i’m still single, trying to get past the cold nights… but knowing i’m not alone out there helps.
\
we’re all better off without them.
