I attended the “monetization” session. It’s not easy, but there are ways to do it. Short answer -

* blog until you build up a big audience that advertisers covet so you can sell ad space on our blog through ad networks
\
* make commissions as an affiliate when someone clicks thru from your blog and makes a purchase
\
* use blogging as a way to drive more traffic to your own e-commerce business, and hopefully increase sales
\
* start your own local blogging network and sell ad space direct to local businesses
\
* blog to increase awareness of your artistic talent (filmmaking, musicians, etc.) and either get “signed” or sell direct
\
* blog to build your personal brand in your area of professional expertise
\
