I would also highly advocate for visiting the Ghirardelli ice cream shoppe. And, I would somewhat advocate for walking across the Golden Gate Bridge. It was on that day that I realized I'm deathly afraid of bridges...but it is a very cool experience. \ \ Bundle up at night...that place gets cold compared to our lovely midwestern nights! Anyway if you wanna shop you should walk around Union Square and Market Street, definitely eat some sourdough (like the clam chowder bread bowl) at Boudin's, or walk around Golden Gate Park, or pick up some food and head to the Marina for an incredible view of the Golden Gate Bridge and a picnic.
