Hello Life?

\
I need a break.

I feel like I just had a week’s worth of drama rain on me this morning. I can’t believe it’s already after 1 p.m. and yet I am not surprised. I’m so burnt out on the family mucky-muck. They really need to get their shit together or leave me alone.
\

\
I hate being in a funk right before a super busy week. There’s a ton I need to do, but I don’t have the motivation or energy to do any of it. This week is going to fly by and I won’t feel like I experienced any of it. “What birthday? I was in San Francisco? Really?! No shit.”
\

\
I am going to close my eyes for 30 minutes. When I wake up, all of this mucky-muck better be gone.
\

\
…or at least under my bed.

Huge week for you! You better soak it all up and enjoy it or I’ll have to scissor kick you in the head. With love.

Don’t you wish life had a “montage” option? So you could skip through all the crap you want to get through but don’t want to actually live through by experiencing maybe only 15 seconds of each moment, accompanied by some song from the 80s or 90’s like “She Works Hard for the Money” or “Eye of the Tiger” or, I dunno, “Everybody Hurts”–the song choice would be at your discretion, I suppose.
\

\
Anyway. The point is, good luck with the week ahead! :o )

busy weeks and family drama would be filed under “suck-tastic-ness” but just try to keep yourself focused on each task that arises. don’t try to look too much ahead because sometimes that can cause unwanted stress.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to put the entire world on “pause” while you stop and catch your breath? :)

Don’t get married, double the family, double the drama…

How do you think I became an alcoholic?!

*hugs*

I hope it cleared itself up or that your family members got themselves together. It’s always frustrating when drama descends upon you because of someone else. No fun.
\

\
I’m excited for y’all going to San Fran. You’re going to have a GREAT time!

You can’t be sad this week, it’s BlogHer/birthday week. Double whammy! There’s a lot of cool, fun stuff that will help cheer you up. And I’m in love with that hamster photo.

The best advice I can give is take one thing at a time. Even if you feel overwhelmed, the best way to complete a series of tasks is to focus your energy on one, complete it, then move onto the next. Also, a quart of ice cream and a bottle of wine helps..:-)

I feel ya with the family drama. Only, not my in-laws, ’cause they’re pretty much perfect. Haha!
\

\
I’m so over the drama. I’ve learned to just nod and smile and go about my life. It’s not worth getting too involved anymore.
\

\
I have my own life to live, thankyouverymuch! ;-)

Hope the nap helped! Sometimes the only way to make it through is to let things run their course. Time, too, always has a way of helping things get done and behind us. In the meantime, we just need to blame Einstein for putting words to the whole “time is relative” thing.

There is truth to that adage that when it rains, it pours, isn’t it?
\
I hope the skies clear up for you sometime soon!!

Bummer the family stuff is in your face. If you can, take a step back. If it doesn’t involve you, don’t involve yourself. You do have some power to walk away. And while others might not be happy, if it’ll keep you sane, just do it.

I’ve been in a funk for months. Don’t be like me, OK? Run away from the funk!!!! And what’s up with your dinosaur toe? Your poor thing. Not gonna lie hearing about that has made me a tad bit more paranoid. I’m excited about you, Jess, and Jamie going to San Fran. I’ve never been and I can’t wait to hear stories.
