Baby Jenn

Hello to you all. This is Jenn’s mom. She asked me to step in for her today, and gave me free reign over what I should write about. Hhhmmm…… shall I share of all the embarassing baby stories and post naked baby photos? Nah…would I do that? (no, I don’t know how to post photos on here just yet, Jenn needs to teach me) I will just tell you how cute she was.
\

\
She was so cute! She had chipmunk cheeks. Big round full cheeks. Literally full. One night, as I put her to bed, I discovered she had some chewed up chicken between her jawline and her cheek. We did have chicken for dinner that night, but a few hours before. I don’t know why or how, or what she was saving it for.
\

\
I could have saved a lot of money and avoided Toys-R-Us. Would you like to know what one of her favorite things to play with was? …a doll, no, a stuffed puppy, no, a xylophone, no. She played with empty 2 liter pop bottles. Why? I don’t know. But, they were safe toys. Light, no sharp edges, no small parts to swallow. (I threw away the caps)
\

\
At bedtime, besides having to tuck her in with the 4 dozen stuffed animals she kept on her bed, (ok, not quite 4 dozen, but close enough that she could get lost among them all!) there was one other thing she had to have. A vi-vi. For those of you who did not assist in raising or ever babysit Jenn, a vi-vi is a wet washcloth that has been wrung out, but still has a little bit water in, but not at all drippy. Yes, she had to have a fresh vi -vi each night. Again, don’t know why vi-vi, she named it.
\

\
And then, for years, all she would want for breakfast, was waffles. Every day, sometimes even for a bedtime snack. But let me tell you…..whoever had the chore of serving the Waffle Princess her waffles had to make sure that there was syrup in “every square”. If any were missed, we had to go back & fill it. How could we expect her to eat a waffle with syrup missing out of one of the squares?
\

\
Although she still enjoys her waffles, I think they may have been replaced by pancakes. You may have noticed she brings the subject up now & then. Guess it’s easier to spread the syrup.

So so cute- I love stories about the little ones!!! A a liter bottle eh? Maybe for that lovely hollow sound. I’d dig that.

This was such a cute post. :)

Awww! This was so so adorable.

Great post, Jenn’s mom!

That is WAY too cute!

Vi vi…could it be the sound it made when you sucked the water off of it?!

Cute post!

Seriously I’m gushing because it’s so cute. And your daughter is still adorable, I saw her all weekend and it’s confirmed. She’s so cute in pictures too with her smile.

So cute! My brother and I used to play in empty moving boxes. I’m not quite sure who invented that game although it certainly saved my parents some money :P

Jenn’s Mom–This was adorable. Thanks for sharing!

Hours and hours of endless fun can be had with a box of the right dimensions..:-)

Ohmygod, this is exactly what I needed to read. Soooo cute. Jenn, can we eat waffles together soon? I sad that I missed the cupcake crawl and I had to leave so soon after you arrived on Friday. SOON!! Us!!! Hanging out!!! :)

Eek! Too cute!

Adorable! Yea for Jenn’s Mom!

Thanks for the look into Jenn’s babyhood! She must have been a cutie.

And for the record, my mom tells me my favorite baby toy was a piece of tin foil on a string.

hee! this was awesome. jenn - you definitely need to teach your mom how to post pictures, because i soooo want some baby pics to go with this now!

I love Baby Jenn stories! I had to have syrup in each square of my waffles too.

Jessica is right. This post rules.

A-DORABLE. I demand pictures!

A dorable. Therefore Jen wants 2 liter bottles for her birthday. DONE!

Chipmunk cheeks are the best! I think it’s true of a lot of kids, that cheap items are often the funnest. Although the screaming kid who didn’t get what he wanted at Target last night might disagree.

heheh this is awesome. my dad still makes me waffles sometimes for breakfast…haha, he makes them the best! buttered, cut up, w/ heated up syrup on top…
\

\
i also slept w/ a few dozen stuffed animals…
\

\
but i didn’t do the vi-vi or chicken jaw thing…awe i can’t wait for pictures! now i’m inspired to post one i can think of - me in my little bed w/ stuffed animals :)

Sweet that Mom blogged for you! And you sound adorable Jenn!
