How Jenn does laundry.
\
-
\
- Think about it for 2-3 hours.
\
\
-
\
- Separate clothes.
\
\
-
\
- Put colors into machine, start water, completely ignoring lid.
\
\
-
\
- Go upstairs for an hour.
\
\
-
\
- Go downstairs only to find the lid still open and clothes sitting in water, still dirty.
\
\
\
And today I’m sober
\

Stay tuned tomorrow for the 20SB Blog Swap.

That’s better than my strategy: Put them in the hamper in the closet and hope the laundry fairy takes care of them

Atleast you’re remembering to go back down to move the laundry…

Just 2-3 hours..?
\
\
-Wake up and shower, only to realize that I have no socks.
\
-Groan.
\
-Hopelessly search through my pile of clean cloths for several minutes.
\
-Grimace while searching through my dirty cloths for a pair of socks that aren’t “too” dirty.
\
-Fail.
\
-Weep.
\
-Repeat from step 2 several times.
\
-Wear flip-flops to work.

My sad existence…

Okay, wait. First off? I FINALLY GOT THROUGH TO YOUR BLOG!! Ah, I can comment. Let’s see if it still works tomorrow :).

Anyway.. don’t feel bad. I routinely put stuff in the washer, forget about it ’til a day or so later, and then have to rewash it because it’s all so wrinkly and strangely damp-ish that I totally can’t just dry it and wear it. Laundry is rough..

Amazing. That’s exactly how I write term papers for grad school.

It’s my secret shame….

I always forget about laundry because I decide to do it on days that I’m hungover. I put it in and fall asleep for hours and then forget that it’s there and go back at least 12 hours later to switch it.

I’m with Rachel. I do the same thing. So bad.

Ahh, you see… the trick is to break your washing machine so it starts washing your load even if the lid is open!!!

That sounds like something I would do…

I’ve been known to do laundry that way. Like right now, my sheets are still in the thinking about it phase, from this weekend…

Now that I’ll have my own washer and dryer, I think I will be able to relate to this all too well.

And the dryer? My brother always forgets to turn it on then jokes that “at least the washer is nearby” when he has to rewash after the clothes sit in the dryer for a few days.

You have one of those fancy self washers? I usually have to boil water and use a scrubbing board.
By Dan Mega on 06.30.08 7:35 pm | Permalink
Haha. That happens to me ALL THE TIME.

Wow I am totally the opposite. I am anal retentive about getting my laundry done efficiently. Guess too many clothes have been shrunk by others doing it for me.
By Jessica on 06.30.08 9:27 pm | Permalink
ahaha… totally do this… only the thinking for 2-3 hours usually turns out to be a week or more.
