Why my mom thinks her dog is a llama

Most of you should already know that my mom and I are a bit on the quirky side.

So it should come as no surprise to you that she thinks her dog looks like a llama or that Goldie Hawn looks like an ostrich (there’s some truth to that one.) Back to the dog…

My mom believes that her dog, Daisy (seen below), looks like a llama. A small llama with a shorter neck, but only when she’s not wearing a collar and is all fluffed up after a nice brushing.

Personally I think that a small llama with a short neck looks like a dog. What do you think?

It’s pretty difficult finding a decent picture of Goldie Hawn so I hope this one is good enough.

I nearly died with the Goldie Hawn Ostrich. We should find a way to merge the two pics!

Omg!! I definitely see the ostrich/Goldie Hawn resemblance… a little bit with your mom’s dog and the llama. Maybe I would have seen more of a resemblance there if I wasn’t so distracted by how CUTE he is!!

Ha. I just watched Fool’s Gold last night - - which doesn’t mean much of anything really, except every time I see her daughter I think of Goldie.

i didn’t even have to squint that hard to see the ostrich in goldie! so funny. but her daughter, kate hudson, is so pretty…does she look like an ostrich too?

But um, because my dog’s tongue is spotted black, and giraffes have black tongues, my mom thinks my dog is part giraffe. Beat that!

my roommate used to have a dog like that, but they kept shaving him down so he looked like a rat. an annoying, yappy, poorly-trained rat. rargh.

perhaps the missing link between dog and llama is the sheep.

Y’all are TOTALLY right on the Goldie Hawn-ostrich similarities. As far as Daisy and the llama… not so much. But a smaller llama with a shorter neck might pass as her.

Thank you all for your support. I have been laughed at more times than I can count for the Goldie/Ostrich thing - but I have stood my ground for years on that. (and thanks to all who think my llama dog is cute)

And at first I hadn’t scrolled down at the pictures of your dog and I only saw the llama, and was like, ‘Oh my! that’s a dog?!?” But yes, they are very similar.
