Guess who has a sun burn and couldn’t be happier?

I spent my entire weekend outside enjoying the beautiful weather Chicago provided. Of course, tomorrow it will be in the 50s and I’ll be regretting this sunburn like no other. I might even swear a bit as I pull a bra strap over my shoulder. Sure this is only the third burn of the year - it’s not even summer yet! It won’t be the last and I’m okay with that. At least it’s not snowing (sorry folks who dig the white stuff, I can’t do it!)

How was your weekend? Did you scrape paint off a garage door? Finish two books? Play Uno twice, and win twice, with your family? Did you eat too much at a BBQ? Have a wee bit too much to drink? Get woken up by an awesome thunder storm? Have a dream in which you were best friends with the chick from “That’s So Raven?” Wash your car? I did.

Sounds like you had a good time this weekend. I spent my weekend doing absolutely nothing productive.

You forgot to mention going out for a bite to eat with your mother and letting (making) her eat way too much!

Well well! It seems to me like you had a busy–but fun-filled–weekend! I wish I had some time in the sun.

I suffered the same sunburnt fate. It actually kinda feels good to have one though — I never got much sun last summer so I’m off to a good start.

that sounds like a weekend everyone should have! i, on the other hand, did finish a book (that i loved) but spent the remaining hours wishing i was doing something (way more exciting) outside.

Yay, sunburn! I’m a big fan of sunburn, mostly because it’s pink/red is the only color I’ll ever get from being out in the sun.

Wow excited about sunburn? That might be a first but you sure look cute and excited about it. My weekend was spent at my brother’s wedding where my pasty skin was shared with all. Fortunately the red dress didn’t make my pasty skin the highlight.

I got a sunburn as well although I’m not quite as thrilled as I have a job interview on Wed. and now I look a bit lobster-y. Oops!

Ooh, ooh, I got a sunburn, too! But I guess that’s the fun when you’re allergic to the sun and thus have fabulous casper-white skin. Yes, I grew up at the beach. And I still wear skirts and dresses (hey, I am not the one that has to look at it, right?) I did build a deck with the Husband and minimal arguments. =)

Ditto Jamie. I walked out in a polo shirt and khakis for work this morning and was all like wtflolz where’s my fleece.

You have to start wearing sunblock. What am I going to read if you die of skin cancer?

Us poor Aussies get rain and cold, jumpers and gloves, but you guys get sunshine and sunburn.

I think getting a sunburn is a small price to pay (well, minus all that cancer stuff) for having a weekend like yours. Sounds lovely! Mine was spent in the depths of my basement packing up my storage locker. Fun stuff.
