I’m trying really hard not to double up on posts between my two blogs, but every now and then I find something that I think is just amazing. Because this blog has a more consistent and dedicated (thank you!) readership, I wanted to share a link here with everyone. So I’ve taken a post from Must Love Geek and pasted it here. A couple weeks ago I wrote a post about Second Rotation. The lovely folks at SR emailed me to let me know that for every electronic sold or recycled through Second Rotation throughout the month of May, they will enter that person in a drawing to win a free iPhone.

If that’s not motivation to get rid of that extra computer you have laying around, I don’t know what is! Even if you don’t win the iPhone, you can still make money and clean out your closets.

Don’t forget, they accept more than just computers. They also take game consoles, MP3 players, cell phones, digital cameras and GPS devices.

Thanks for the heads up. I have some old stuff lying around that I could get rid of. Plus, an iPhone would be awesome, I’d settle for a BBerry at this point

A pretty cool idea and maybe I’ll sell them some stuff. The console thing disturbs me, though. They’ll have to pry my Atari 2600 and my NES from my cold, dead hands.

I usually donate my items as they are recycled for the poor folks. It gives me excuses to constantly upgrade my gadgets =)

i SO want an iPhone. i have for well, of course since they came out. but i’ve been dedicated to getting one since i got my christmas bonus. however, i have verizon, and my contract isn’t up until SEPTEMBER [i thought i could get it in May/June] so i’m very irritated about waiting…i’m wondering how much it will take to get out of my Verizon contract, i’m possibly THAT desperate.

Just my luck, I would win an iPhone and then I’d have to get AT&T, which is so inferior to my Verizon service. I’m just going to wait it out, I think.

Also, I have no old electronics to give up, unless they’re taking Diskmans. I think I have one of those sitting around…
