Let me show you it…
If you weren’t browsing Twitter last night. Wait. Let me rephrase that. If you are not following me or Jamie on Twitter you missed a pretty good night. The Twitter extravaganza took place as we sat next to each other at Bahama Breeze waiting fifteen minutes to be seated. By fifteen minutes, I mean an hour. Apparently they use a different time system in the Bahamas. Bored as we were, we decided it would be awesome to Twitter our adventure and mishaps.
Mishap #1 Telling Jamie not to stab herself with the mini sword that was in our complimentary “sorry we’re making you wait a lifetime” appetizer. I then proceeded to stab myself in the mouth with it. Fail. I don’t know why I was so giggly, I didn’t have any drinks yet. But I then made the elephant dance with the sword. See exhibit A >>>
Prior to this laugh fest, we went to Woodfield for some shopping. Yay! That place needs to knock it off with the confusing layout. I’m pretty sure we walked every where, but there’s no way to prove that. We drooled as we walked through the Apple store. Totally found the computer I want. We “oo’ed” and “ahh’ed” in the Sony store. We sighed as we walked through Anthropologie, petting dresses we want but can’t afford. Even if we could, we have no where to wear them. We laughed our way through Urban Outfitters, Vans and Lush. I’m pretty sure we discovered soapy Jell-O molds at Lush. And the facials? Kinda look like poo. We ate tasty pretzels with cheese as we tried to down ginormous amounts of pop.
For the record, Jamie is a bad shopping influence. I’m pretty sure she made my buy a bag with a matching wallet. She also made me buy a “Got Wind?” sticker and pen from the Chicago tourist store. I love it though. I wanted the T-shirt so bad! Got wind? Get it?! Cause Chicago is windy. Ha! Love it.
Anyway, back to Bahama Breeze….
We both got delicious drinks. I started with a bahama mama and she started with a week on the beach. I wish I wrote down what was in them because they were fantastical. Magical even. Dinner was quite tasty. We got the jerk chicken pasta. When we weren’t stuffing our faces, we were laughing. I swear I haven’t laughed this much in a long, long time. Even with the possibility that an ex was sitting behind us, I laughed my ass off. Sneak attack!
We came up with an amazing idea for a blog. I’m not going to share that right now (you thieves!) only because I think it’ll be a good surprise when it’s launched. We even, in all of our genius glory, figured out a way to get away for the weekend without even leaving Chicago. Oh man…hotel room, facial, swimming? Who could ask for a better treat?
Post drinky drinks, not quite feeling ready to drive back home from Schaumburg, we went to Borders for some sobering up. I ended up buying season one of The Tudors. ::drool:: I’m very excited about this. I put back a medical book for these DVDs. You know it’s pretty serious when I’m giving up anatomy!
I’m sure there is something about this night that I’m forgetting. I think I’ve efficiently covered the fact that we’re awesome and pretty much the best bloggy pals ever. Oh, and I brought the sword home with me. It’s for the memories!

Okay, next time, you guys can come shopping with me in my part of town. No malls. And bars that are way dive-ier but that won’t make you wait a thousand hours.

Thank you so much for the post. I was half following you (after a knock-down drag out fight with the SO) but didn’t feel like responding. I WAS wondering what the sword was all about though! If you saw me on Twitter last night, precious BlackBErry almost died…broke apart into 3 pieces but is like Humpty Dumpty and put back together again.

I was watching the tweet-a-thon going on between you two last night and picturing the two of you sitting next to each other but not talking out lout to one another — just tweeting furiously on your blackberries.
