Thinking Positive

by freeandflawed on April 19, 2008

Things I’m looking forward to:
\

    \

  • Selling my VAIO and getting a Mac.
  • \

  • Meeting Jen Lancaster at her book signing in May.
  • \

  • Meeting and eating cupcakes with all of the great Chicago bloggers.
  • \

  • Hopefully getting a part-time teacher’s assistant position at Cortiva (Call me back!)
  • \

  • Planning a trip out to Florida to visit my bestest friend Dan-o.
  • \

  • Meeting Alexa, Maxie and Deutlich in June.
  • \

  • Hopefully convincing so@24 to make a (not-so) surprise appearance in Chicago in June.
  • \

  • My birthday (July 15th – I’ll be the big 2-4)
  • \

  • Going to San Francisco for BlogHer with the coolest Jamie I know.
  • \

  • Getting out on my own again – nothing says home like walking around naked.
  • \

  • Starting school at UIC in the fall.
  • \

\

    \

  • Throwing Angela a goodbye party since she’s leaving us for Florida :( I’m not looking forward to her leaving though!
  • \

\

    \

  • Going to Boston if the Cubs and Red Sox make it into the World Series (this is unlikely knowing the Cubs, but it’s a good excuse to head out to Boston right?)
  • \

\

    \

  • Going to New York before the end of 2008 (hopefully September/October)
  • \

  • Ending the summer with a nice tan, not a sunburn.
  • \

\
What are you looking forward to?

Congrats on heading to UIC in the Fall!

I’m looking forward to some consistent nice weather. One of my pet peeves is Chicagoans who talk about the weather all the time (we all do), but I can’t help it. It’s going to be great!

I heart Jen Lancaster. I met her at a book signing last year and definitely want to go again this time around.

Well now I’m excited for you to come to New York. I will so get on the train for you. (The easiest and fasted way to get into the city from my suburbian homestead)

That’s a great list of things to look forward to. I’m looking forward to my birthday in August, cause I’m gonna celebrate for at least a week since last year I did, and this year it’ll be combined with my going-away party stuff…
\
Also looking forward to my sister coming back next month after she graduates college, and for us to move in together in NYC (assuming she actually moves to nyc, of course…)
\
And seeing my grandma, who’ll be staying with us all summer too. :)

let me know when you’re in san fran. I don’t know that I’ll be a blogher, but can definitely meet up now that I’m in the bay area, as of last weekend. This should explain my lack of involvement lately and why I’m commenting vomiting now. =) I have some catching up to do…
