Chicago Bloggers: Snow & Cupcakes

Did anybody else tune into the weather report this morning? When my grandma first told me we could have up to 9 inches of snow by Saturday, I laughed and chalked it up to aged ears. But then I heard it with my own ears. There is a winter storm watch in effect beginning tonight until 1 a.m. Saturday. I’ve heard 5 to 7 inches or 4 to 9 inches. Either way, I’m not happy. I’ve put my boots away. My scarves and hats are tucked away in their boxes. No more snow!! It’s Spring damnit! Moving right along…

The Chicago Blogger Cupcake Crawl has been planned. Thanks again to Susie for essentially putting it all together!

How’s April 12th for all of you? It’s a couple weeks away so hopefully this weekend will be the last we’ll see of Winter and can enjoy our crawl. I haven’t figured out where we’ll meet yet or if we’ll drive from place to place or walk, but I wanted to make sure that the date worked for everyone. I’m thinking early afternoon in case any of you have awesome Saturday night plans that you can’t pass up. Here’s the list of cupcake places we’ll be visiting:

The fact that you both live in a city with NUMEROUS “cupcake places” makes me insanely jealous.

Alright already, I’m inspired,ok?! I will get a Boston meet up together because these Chicago bloggers…1) they sound so much fun, but 2) they ain’t got nothin’ on Boston bloggers.

April 12 is my birthday weekend. And I live in northern Indiana. And we have a train that runs from our airport to Millennium Park. And I can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday.

Awwww, I want to come. So bad. But, I have tickets to the White Sox-Tigers game that day. Starting at noon. If plans change to later in the afternoon, I can’t think of a better way to wash down a hot dog than with a few cup cakes. Either way, I’ll pray for good weather for all of us!

oh my god i wish i lived in chicago. at least for this event. not so much cause of all the coldness and snow in winter. those cupcakes look amazing…

April 12th is my 31st birthday!!!! I wish I could be there for the Cupcake Crawl!!!!

Yes and we had 6.44 inches of rain on Tuesday, I was ready to build an emergency ark and evacuate my house 2 by 2.

When I first read this, I was like “9 inches, what the HELL?” Then, I did a quick check, and realized that you live nowhere near the Hudson Valley, and that those 9 inches will probably manifest themselves as icky cold rain over here. Still. I want spring.

I’m so in! I cannot wait. Also, the horrible weather in Chicago has totally ruined my weekend because I’m currently stuck in Atlanta until tomorrow. Because of flight timing, I have to totally forgo my trip to my parents house to pick up my new Macbook (my baby!) and will get it now in two weeks. It’s like I’m abandoning my child already!
