What’s going through my brain currently

by freeandflawed on March 13, 2008

Why is the top of the muffin the best part?
\

\
I’m eating a blueberry muffin while wearing a white shirt. Rebel much?
\

\
Why do I smell bacon? Or maybe it’s an Egg McMuffin….
\

\
Gosh I’m hungry.
\

\
I think Google should hire me.
\

\
I get to write Geek News later today. Hooray!
\

\
Seriously, is that bacon?
\

\
I’d like to dye my hair. Should I go a dark auburn (not gothy) or a dark brown? Decisions.
\

\
My sternocleidomastoid hurts.
\

\
I should mail someone a dollar if they know where that muscle is and why it’s called that. Okay maybe $2.
\

\
I should have bought two muffins.
\

\
Tune in later for an actual post! My brain is raining with excitement!
\

\
Seriously Google…think about this: Jenn Beese VP of all things Geek. Hey, GeekSugar, don’t think I’m excluding you. I’d be willing to bring my geekiness over there as well.
\

\
Why isn’t my “Geek” category showing up in the tag cloud below?! Wtf? A true geek would be able to figure this out ::hangs head in shame::

I used to dye my hair dark auburn all the time. LOVED it!!! I only went back to my natural color because I had forgotten what my natural color looked like…

The sternocleidomastoid is called that because it’s a muscle that runs through three different areas…the sternum, the clavicle and the mastoid process. It goes from your neck to right behind your ear.

My mom is an antomy teacher…and I’m somewhat of a science geek.

Okay, well, I guess nobody gets $2 since you’ve already answered it. Woo I can get another muffin!
\

\
My mom is pretty cool about my blog. Then again I don’t put anything on here that I wouldn’t tell her anyway. She could probably do without all of my drooling over gadgets though :)

I love anatomy too, but it’s been a while since I took a class. Very interesting topic. When I cut my hand open at work–by accident!–when I calmed down and realized I didn’t hit a major artery or anything I was fine. I could see the tends in my hand. It was amazing! My mom almost passed out :)
\

\
At Panera Bread here in town they make JUST the muffin tops–I think they call them Muffles or Muffies or something like that.

“Why is the top of the muffin the best part?”
\

\
That’s where the muffin-elves put the most sugar.

Let’s break it down: sternocleidomastoid
\
Sterno – the thing you use to heat food at a buffet
\
cleido – an 80’s disco
\
mast – the pointy thing on a ship
\
oid – to have said, “oy” in the past
\

\
Obviously, it’s the part of the body that hurts when you’re eating buffet on a party ship.

i totally want to work for Google too! but I want to do their PR. also, the muffin tops are totally the best part. it’s where the flavor explodes and separates itself from the rest of the muffin. :)

If you’re all about Google hiring you, then start reading this blog: http://www.rachelleb.com/. She lives in Chicago and works for Google. Might be a good inside connection to make.

I’ll second the hair choice. I’m a natural blonde, but I’ve kept it a dark chocolate-y brown for the winter and I love it.

You’re the reason I geek blog so much. Okay that’s not entirely true, I tend to feed my own needs. But! I do appreciate that you enjoy them so much. Apologize to your boyfriend again for me. I’m not stopping! No I haven’t seen that Seinfeld!

I went to Panera for lunch today in search of muffin tops, they had one left, chocolate chip. BLECH! It looked all dried out.
