When Jenn asked if anyone was interested in guest blogging while she was away, I basically jumped up and down excitedly and waved my hand around saying, “Oh, pick me! Pick me!”. Little did I know, I would actually be chosen and have to think of something to write! I rarely know what I am going to write about on my own blog, let hold the attention of other people on someone else’s blog. I’m gonna give it a shot though!

Jenn was actually one of the first blogs I’ve ever read and commented on. This was during the NaBloPoMo craziness of posting every day in November or else you will die. Well thank God, we posted everyday or else I wouldn’t have been able to get to “know” Jenn. We are both Chicago girls, the best kind of girls! I totally knew after however long of reading this blog here, that this is the kind of girl I want to be friends with. She plays an excellent game of Scrabulous. Jenn helps make the work day go faster talking on Gchat. I bet she didn’t offer you a little wagon to pull your puppy around on, but me? Yup. I could totally have a little Radio Flyer wagon for puppeh to cruise the sidewalks of Chicago.

I missed my chance to hang out and meet Jenn and a bunch of really awesome Chicago bloggers earlier this month. I was on the brink of death with a cold that just would not quit. Needless to say, I was quite bummed. The good thing though, is that we both live in the same city! I’m all the way down south and she’s all the way over by O’Hare but still, not too far. Jenn and I are totally going to hang out soon and do what we do best — be awesome. Twice the awesomeness.

Earlier this week, I was really contemplating BlogHer in San Francisco. I knew I didn’t want to go by myself and I knew I wanted to go with someone I would have a great time with in some city I’ve never been to. First person to come to mind was Jenn. That night I sent her a little email and in the morning got back one with the overall message of “Eh, I don’t know”.

Foiled again, Jamie! The stars just won’t align whenever I want to do blog meet ups, let alone the meet up of all meet ups, BlogHer. Bummed, I started to forget about the idea, until that little red light started blinking on my BlackBerry. Another email from Jenn and this time she was in! I think I was in Walgreen’s and started giggling (yes, I am a girl, I am allowed to giggle!) and people looked at me like I was insane. I got home and we immediately jumped into looking for hotels, airfare, volunteer gigs at BlogHer (pick us! pick us!). Seriously, I’m going to San Francisco! With Jenn! To talk all things blog!
