May I present Moviefone’s Top 25 Romantic Movies:
\

\
25. Sleepless in Seattle (I love Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks!)
\
24. The Notebook (I cry like a baby. Every time.)
\
23. Dark Victory
\
22. Amelie
\
21. Love Story (Love means never having to say you’re sorry – my ass!)
\
20. Jerry Maguire (Show me the corny! I can’t believe this beat The Notebook)
\
19. West Side Story (I’m surprised nobody has remade this treasure)
\
18. Atonement
\
17. Lady and the Tramp (Classic!)
\
16. Wings of Desire
\
15. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Such a magnificent movie)
\
14. An Officer and a Gentleman
\
13. Harold and Maude
\
12. Brokeback Mountain
\
11. The Princess Bride (Another classic movie. “Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father prepare to die.” Ha!)
\
10. Ghost (Love this almost as much as Dirty Dancing. And musicians, stop trying to remake “Unchained Melody”…it ain’t happening. I’m talking to you Clay Aiken!)
\
9. Dr. Zhivago
\
8. Annie Hall (I heard a rumor this was going to be remade.)
\
7. Moonstruck
\
6. The Way We Were
\
5. Gone With The Wind (“Great balls of fire. Don’t bother me anymore, and don’t call me sugar.” Oh Scarlett, how I adore thee)
\
4. An Affair to Remember
\
3. Wuthering Heights (Is this being remade, too?!)
\
2. Titanic (Oh, come on!!!)
\
1. Casablanca (Would you believe I’ve never seen it?)
\

\
So there you have it. The top 25 romantic movies of all time, according to Moviefone that is. I personally dont’ agree with some of the choices ::ahem Leo ahem:: but what do you expect from a company who can’t spell phone correctly :P

What, no Empire Strikes Back? That should be #1 on the list, if you ask me.

I agree with about half of these…Eternal Sunshine, Sleepless in Seattle, The Notebook, Princess Bride, etc. A lot of the others, I haven’t seen…maybe that’s my mission this weekend!

I don’t agree with putting Atonement on that list. Come on, it’s been out less than 3 months, give it some time to breathe!

Oh, and do see Casablanca. It has stood up to the test of time so well. It’s magical.

I swear if I ever hear Celine Dion sing that one damn song from the Titanic I will blow up. Can’t stand it! I do love (what’s her name? Rose?) her dress, the maroon one with the beadwork…lol, I remember THAT from the movie.

What’s funny is I read The Princess Bride and immediately started that line and then read you put that line too! My sister and I destroyed the VHS and had to get another when we were little from watching it so much.

why would they remake Annie Hall? It’s a masterpiece of a movie. And why isn’t When Harry Met Sally on there?

I have no idea. I could be wrong about that, but I swore I read it some where. I was surprised about When Harry Met Sally!
