So we know that I have a strong disliking for pink gadgets. Does it come as much of a surprise that I dislike gaudy, flashy, and bedazzled ones as well? Doubtful. Now I’m not trying to “diss” anyone who likes metallic, bedazzled, shiny accessories. This is based on my own opinion. But it just so happens that I can’t help but share my opinion!!

Let’s start with the Gilty Couture iPhone case. Gilty has made a 14k gold plated case that includes 138 hand set Swarovski crystals. Seems a bit much to me, but it’s only $125. Not a bad price for all that flare. However, I don’t want my phone to look good enough to steal. They have a whole collection of gold, silver and pink iPod and iPhone cases. To be honest, I kind of like a few of them. I don’t think I’d actually own one though. It just seems like a bit much for something that’s going to be swimming around the infinite abyss that is my purse.

If that’s not enough gold and jewel for you, Case-Mate has come up with an over the top design. The diamond case is handcrafted with not 40, not 41, but 42 diamonds set in 18k gold. If that’s not enough, they’re embedded in a rare gold carbon fiber leather case. For $20,000, I’ll buy two!

Still don’t have enough gold? Well let me bring your attention to the BlackBerry purse by Violet May. Costing $390, this purse holds your BlackBerry or iPhone/iPod, money, business cards and passport. I like the concept. Though I’d rather carry my purse. I couldn’t walk around with JUST that stuff. What about my chapstick or lotion?! I’m not particularly fond of the price, color or style though. Something about gold just doesn’t appeal to me. It’s too flashy.

Enough of the gold! Why not throw some alligator and leopard print into the mix? These laptop sleeves were spotted by GeekSugar at CES. Unfortunately there isn’t much information on them. I think they’re ugly. Very ugly. There’s nothing else to say.

Golla is a company I really like. Their designs are colorful, cute and not too obnoxious. They have designs for cell phones, laptops (bags and sleeves), ipods, etc. Their backpacks are really cute!
