An autopsy performed Thursday determined that the unidentified 29-year-old man who died after falling eight stories from a balcony in Macy’s State Street store was a suicide.

Witnesses say they saw the man on the eighth floor near the balcony shortly before he fell to the floor in the atrium. Several customers and employees on the first foor saw the man land, but police officers still haven’t found anyone who saw how he fell.
