While Vista is better than XP, it is not wise to jump ship if you are content with XP. Program compatibility is problematic at times, and the minimum specifications are fairly hefty. As for the 'cancel/allow' dialogs, yes they can be annoying. But, so is opening and closing the locks on your outer doors. Would you stop doing that just because it's annoying?
